Alto Metals Ltd (ASX:AME) continues to record high-grade gold results from its drill campaign at the Indomitable Camp, at the company’s 100%-owned Sandstone Gold Project in WA.
Drilling has successfully extended known mineralisation outside the resource with 28 of the 29 reverse circulation holes intersecting gold mineralisation.
High-grade results
New high-grade results from the ongoing extensional drilling at Indomitable include:
- 20 metres @ 6.9 g/t gold from 35 metres, including 1 metre @ 97.8 g/t gold from 38 metres;
- 10 metres @ 3.2 g/t gold from 69 metres, including 2 metres @ 11.3 g/t gold from 72 metres;
- 10 metres @ 2.8 g/t gold from 27 metres, including 1 metre @ 19.5 g/t gold from 34 metres; and
- 10 metres @ 1.1 g/t gold from 8 metres and 4 metres @ 9.1 g/t gold from 83 metres, including 1 metre @ 27.1 g/t gold from 84 metres.
The step-out drilling continues to extend gold mineralisation outside the resource, with multiple shallow high-grade gold intercepts in oxide confirmed at the Indomitable Camp.
These new assay results are from one-metre photon assays and relate to 29 extensional RC holes drilled at Indomitable and Indomitable North for a total of 5,067 metres drilled on a 40-metre x 40-metre spacing to an average downhole depth of 174 metres.
Mineralisation in the area is hosted within a package of mafic-ultramafic rocks, cross-cut by interpreted major structures, with higher-grade gold mineralisation typically observed where the structures intersect the stratigraphy.

Alto managing director Matthew Bowles said: These new results from our ongoing drill program at Indomitable have again delivered multiple, shallow high-grade gold results in oxide, outside the current resource, with SRC674 a particular a standout result of 20 metres @ 6.9 g/t gold from just 35 metres of depth.
“Shareholders can look forward to further results in the near term following the recently completed first pass drilling over the Indomitable East prospect and we have now moved the rig to the exciting Musketeer target.
“Indomitable is consistently delivering shallow, high-grade gold results and we are looking forward to incorporating all of these results into the updated mineral resource estimate planned for the end of the year.”
About Indomitable
The Indomitable Camp is a large and under-explored mineralised system situated on a 20-kilometre-long gold corridor. Drilling is focused along a more-than-2-kilometre northwest-southeast trend, with recently announced results extending the trend, which remains open in both directions, a further 500 metres northwest.
The targeted area is around 15 kilometres south-east of the town of Sandstone, in close proximity to the Sandstone-Menzies Road and less than 20 kilometres northwest of the Lords Corridor. It has a current inferred mineral resource of 1.7 million tonnes @ 1.3 g/t gold for 74,000 ounces (based on a $2,000 pit shell). These resources are shallow and remain open along strike and at depth.
What’s next?
The company awaits the results of more than 7,000 metres of RC drilling completed at Indomitable East.
RC drilling is currently underway at the Musketeer prospect, also within the Indomitable Camp.
Alto says that regional targeting work over the Sandstone Gold Project, outside of the Alpha Domain, is progressing well.
