PolarX undertakes further sampling after recent bonanza gold and silver hits at Black Canyon in the US

The company is currently cutting multiple continuous channel samples to test highly prospective outcropping mineralised vein systems at the Golden Staircase target.

PolarX Ltd (ASX:PXX) is undertaking further sampling after recent bonanza gold and silver grades in mineralised veins at the Star Canyon prospect, within the Black Canyon claims, situated at the Humboldt Range Project in Nevada, USA.

The company is currently cutting multiple continuous channel samples to test highly prospective outcropping mineralised vein systems at the Golden Staircase target.

The vein swarm covers a 300-metre by 200-metre target near the recent 9.1 metres at 124g/t gold and 48g/t silver drill intersection.

Looking ahead, the sampling is expected to be completed later this month, with assays expected four to six weeks later.

What’s more, drilling to test this target, and additional drilling to follow up on the bonanza gold and silver grades intersected recently at Star Canyon is planned for later this season.

Sampling progress

Several saw-cut channel lines are currently being sampled at the Golden Staircase target in the Humboldt Ranges near the Star Canyon prospect.

Mapping shows that the vein swarm covers an area of at least 300 metres by 200 metres.

Four channels are being cut, ranging from 120 metres to 200 metres in length.

Continuous sampling is being undertaken along each channel cut, with a sample being taken along each 1.5-metre interval in a similar continuous manner to drill-core, effectively replicating a surface drill hole.

Bonanza hits

PolarX Ltd (ASX:PXX) has recently returned strong results including bonanza gold and silver grades from its maiden reverse circulation (RC) percussion drilling program at Star Canyon.

The highlight result is 9.1 metres at 124.36 g/t gold and 48.6 g/t silver from 27.4 metres in hole BC22-005, including 3 metres at 371 g/t gold and 143.5 g/t silver.

This bonanza result sits within numerous wide lower-grade intersections less than 3 kilometres from the 5-million-ounce operating Florida Canyon Gold Mine, while the Rochester Mine is about 20 kilometres south of the Fourth of July claims.
