Marvel Gold Ltd (ASX:MVL) has underscored the growth potential of the Tabakorole Project in southeast Mali with near-surface intersections of gold from the 'Inner Bend' zone of mineralisation sub-parallel to the main system.
The company also completed a gradient array induced polarisation (IP) survey over 38 square kilometres at Tabakorole, identifying several new exploration targets along the project’s structural corridor.
Aircore drilling was targeted at the Inner Bend zone specifically and was able to define the zone over 300 metres of strike, only 50 metres from the current resource boundary.
The best intercepts from this drilling were 8 metres at 3.7 g/t gold from surface and 10 metres at 1.2 g/t gold from 6 metres, representing particularly shallow mineralisation.

“We are extremely pleased with the results of our recent aircore drilling and our large-scale Gradient Array IP survey,” Marvel Gold managing director Chris van Wijk said.
“The IP has provided important structural data and yielded a number of conceptual near resource targets which require follow-up.
“Meanwhile, our recent aircore drilling has effectively provided the position and strike extents of the ‘Inner Bend’, a zone which we believe has the potential to materially grow the Tabakorole mineral resource.”
Marvel is still awaiting assays from its recently completed auger program at Yanfolila – another of Marvel’s Mali gold projects – as well as multi-element assays from end-of-hole samples in both the AC and auger programs.
