Blue Star Helium Ltd (ASX:BNL, OTC:BSNLF) has filed two new oil and gas development plans to advance seven more helium wells across the Galactica and Pegasus prospects in Las Animas County, Colorado.
The applications have been sent off to the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC), which is already considering Blue Star’s application for an initial four helium wells at Galactica and Pegasus.
Combined with its existing application, this means the COGCC is now deliberating Blue Star’s plans for 11 helium wells, and the company expects to submit two more development plans in the coming weeks.
Blue Star’s helium wells are targeting production from the Lyons formation after recent drilling discoveries at the JXSN wells.
The company believes location is key: the wells are positioned to rapidly follow up, appraise and develop the helium discoveries (grading up to 3.14% helium) across Galactica and Pegasus.
Well permitting is front of mind for Blue Star this season, and it’s primarily made headway across the Galactica, Pegasus, Voyager and Serenity properties, as outlined below:
The COGCC is poised to chair an approval hearing for Blue Star’s initial four-well application later this month.
In the meantime, Blue Star will keep the market updated on its permitting and endeavours across Las Animas County.
