Vast Resources says Takob tie-up to start processing ore next month

An official opening ceremony for the processing plant will be held on August 15

Vast Resources PLC (AIM:VAST) said processing of fresh and stockpiled ore will start next month at the Takob joint venture project in Tajikistan.

An official opening ceremony for the processing plant will be held on August 15.

Vast announced in June the refurbishment of the Takob processing plant was nearing completion and that two months of stockpiled ore was ready to be processed.

The AIM-traded company will receive the equivalent of a 12.25% royalty over sales of non-ferrous concentrate and any other metals produced from the processing project.

The processing plant and the Takob tailings project, both at the Takob fluoride and galena mine, are part of a joint venture project with OJSC Korkhanai Boygardonii Takob.

Vast has an effective 24.5% indirect interest in the project.
