Gungnir Resources Inc has reported the discovery of a new ultramafic unit, with characteristic "jack-straw" textured peridotite that is host to the high-grade Lappvattnet nickel deposit. "Encountering jack-straw peridotite outside of the known nickel deposit opens up further potential on the property, in particular in the untested area north of the deposit which was highlighted earlier as having a geophysical signature similar to the Lappvattnet deposit itself," said Jari Paakki, CEO of Gungnir in a statement. The new ultramafic unit was intersected approximately 150 metres north of the Lappvattnet nickel deposit in two holes, LAP22-12 and LAP22-13, drilled from the same set-up on Section 8E testing the western part of a string of near-surface electromagnetic (EM) anomalies defined in late 2021.

Appia Rare Earths and Uranium Corp said it has completed the initial phase of its 2022 drilling and exploration program on their Alces Lake high-grade rare earth elements and gallium property in the Athabasca Basin area of northern Saskatchewan. The company drilled 100 holes in 2022 for a record total of 17,480 metres over just four and a half months, as compared to the 2021 program which took over five months to drill 8,076 metres over 100 holes. In a statement, Frederick Kozak, president of Appia said the company built on their experience in 2021 at Alces Lake to get an early start in March on the planned 2022 drilling program.

Recent work investigated how AME-1 extract could modify microglial functions, which facilitate neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration. In a recent study, researchers stimulated human microglial cells with cell walls of bacteria (LPS), viral components (such as poly I:C nucleotides) and inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF) in the presence of AME-1 to determine if AME-1 could modify how microglia respond to these common stimulants.
Northstar Gold Corp revealed it was one step closer to achieving its strategy of defining an over one million ounce gold resource at its Miller project in Ontario, now that a new modelling study has been completed for the Allied and Vein 1 exploration targets. The study was completed by Ronacher McKenzie Geoscience Inc and SRK Consulting Inc and shows that these targets remain open to expansion with potential to increase tonnage and gold grade by additional drilling. The upper range estimate showed 7.67 million tonnes for 503,000 ounces of gold at a grade of 2.04 grams per ton (g/t) gold, while a lower range estimate showed 251,000 ounces from 5.6 million tonnes at 1.39 g/t gold.

Royal Helium Ltd said the Climax/Nazare project has received approval from the Minister of Energy and Resources of the Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Petroleum Innovation Incentive (SPII) program. Under the terms of the approval, Royal Helium can receive up to $4,227,185 in royalty tax credits based on eligible project costs incurred to date at Nazare. Belmont Resources Inc said its joint venture partner Marquee Resources has issued an exploration update on the Lone Star Copper/Gold Project and the Kibby Basin Lithium Project. At Lone Star, the phase one drilling program, which included 46 diamond drill holes for 7,888 meters, has been completed. The final batch of assays is expected to be received by the company shortly. The three goals of the program were as follows: validate the historical drill hole database and resource model; deliver a JORC/43-101-compliant mineral resource estimate; and test for extensions to the historical resource.

Electra Battery Materials Corporation said it has signed a benefits agreement with the Metis Nation of Ontario, providing employment, training, procurement, and business opportunities related to the construction and expansion of the company's battery materials refinery north of Toronto Temiskaming Shores. TNR Gold Corp said it has entered into a royalty purchase agreement with an Ontario limited partnership affiliated with Lithium Royalty Corp (LRC) for the sale of a portion of its net smelter returns (NSR) royalty involving the Mariana lithium project. TNR has sold LRC a 0.5% NSR royalty for US$9,000,000, including a 0.05% NSR royalty sold by TNR on behalf of its shareholder. This represents one-quarter of the NSR royalty held by TNR. The company also said that International Lithium Corp (TSX-V:ILC) (ILC) has completed the sale to Ganfeng Lithium Netherlands Co BV ‘s of ILC's remaining 8.58% stake in Litio Minera Argentina SA, the owner of the Mariana Lithium Project in Salta, Argentina, where TNR holds a 2% NSR royalty.

PlantX Life Inc said it has obtained debt financing whereby it may borrow a principal amount of up to $10 million from an arm's length creditor under the terms and subject to the conditions of a secured convertible promissory note. With this financing, the company added, it is no longer pursuing its non-brokered private placement that was previously announced on July 13, 2022. "We listened to the feedback of shareholders, and have secured financing at attractive terms that is a more appropriate way for PlantX to fund its operations and plans," said PlantX CEO, Lorne Rapkin in a statement. The company said the convertible note will bear interest at rate of 5.0% per annum, payable monthly and matures on May 1, 2024. Proceeds under the convertible note will be advanced by the holder to PlantX Life, at the request of the company, from time to time, provided that any advance shall be for a minimum of $250,000.
Unigold Inc has announced a non-brokered private placement of up to 20,000,000 units of the company at a price of $0.08 each for gross proceeds of up to $1.6 million. The company said the proceeds from the offering will be used to fund the continued exploration and development on its Neita Concession in the Dominican Republic and for general working capital purposes. Each unit will consist of one common share of the company and one-half of one common share purchase warrant.
