Critical Resources Ltd (ASX:CRR) has further confirmed the high grade of lithium pegmatite mineralisation at the Mavis Lake Project in Canada with new assays up to 1.91% lithium.
The company previously released information on the visual estimates of lithium-bearing spodumene in pegmatite intersections, with these latest assays confirming the quality of mineralisation:
- 21.1 metres at 1.34% lithium including 8.6 metres at 1.91% lithium;
- 8.7 metres at 1.07% lithium;
- 6.2 metres at 1.13% lithium;
- 6.9 metres at 0.73% lithium including 5.4 metres at 0.91% lithium.
Phase two of the drilling campaign at Mavis Lake is underway, focused on step-out and infill drilling to test the potential strike length of 3 kilometres that sits between Pegmatite 6 and 18 – the company has already mapped additional pegmatites between the two points.
Drilling continues to hit “exceptional” grades
“The company’s drilling program continues to intersect exceptional grades and show the lithium-bearing pegmatites remain open at depth and along strike,” Critical Resources chair Robert Martin said.
“Visual inspections to date indicate that these strong assay results are likely to continue and will help us to ultimately define our maiden JORC-compliant resource.”
Pegmatite 6 has been of particular note so far, with assays returning lithium in six of seven holes drilled. Drill hole MF22-72 contained the highest grading interval of 21.1 metres at 1.34% Li2O.
