VT Downing Unique Opportunities Fund manager Rosemary Banyard talks through her investment approach and provides an update on recent activity within the fund against a volatile backdrop.
Rosemary discusses some of the fund’s holdings and explains why they have performed well in the current environment, as well a couple of companies that have not fared so well as poor sentiment has impacted negatively, and in some cases indiscriminately.
Finally, against a difficult environment of high inflation and rising interest rates, Rosemary explains - “What do I do in this situation? I very much focus on continuing to invest in quality companies – and that's companies with strong finances and high profit margins"
