PayPoint grows revenue and is confident of making further progress

The payment systems provider also experienced a revenue jump in shopping and banking

Paypoint (LSE:PAY) PLC reported a rise in revenue in the three months ending June 30 and said it remains confident of making further progress despite ‘continued headwinds.’

Revenue was up 6.2% to £29.9mln with its e-commerce business reporting a 33.8% jump.

The payment systems provider also experienced a revenue jump of 8% in shopping and 1.8% in banking.

“We remain confident, despite some continued headwinds, of the progress we are making in the transformation of our business as we take advantage of the accelerated growth opportunities across our key markets,” said chief executive Nick Wiles.

Paypoint (LSE:PAY) also cut its corporate debt down from £43.9mln to £37.7mln.

According to its statement, it also made good progress on its strategic priorities, which included becoming the heart of SME and convenience retail and growing digital bill payments, evidenced by revenue growth in all its sectors.
