Galileo Resources extends exploration programme at Zambia's Shinganda project

“There appear to be a number of structural trends several of which are worthy of follow-up"

Galileo Resources said copper assays from drilling at the Shinganda project in Zambia have come in better than historical data from the site with the programme now extended to six holes from three.

Best of the assays were 50.3m at a grade of 1.53% copper from a depth of 21m.

"Drilling and assaying by the company have confirmed the presence of copper in an area previously explored by a large mining company," Colin Bird, chairman and CEO said.

“There appear to be a number of structural trends several of which are worthy of follow-up.

“The company plans to continue its shallow drilling programme which, if results are positive, will be followed by ground geophysics at the appropriate time.”

Galileo has the right to earn into an initial 51% interest in Shinganda.
