Blue Star Helium Ltd (ASX:BNL, OTC:BSNLF)’s Sammons 315310C well pad in Colorado has been constructed and the well is expected to spud next week.
The company was informed by the Sammons Area of Mutual Interest (AMI) operator Vecta Oil & Gas of the development.
Sammons 315310C well is one of four approved helium wells within the AMI agreed between Blue Star (50%, non-operated interest), Prospero Oil and Gas LLC (25%, non-operated interest) and Vecta Oil & Gas Ltd (25%, operated interest).
Within the AMI is Blue Star’s Serenity prospect, immediately southeast of its Galactica and Pegasus prospects where it recently announced three significant discoveries.

COGCC hearing delayed
The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) hearing to approve the applications for BNL’s Oil and Gas Development Plans relating to the State 9, State 16, State 35 and State 36 helium wells at Galactica/Pegasus has been deferred by the COGCC from July 19, 2022, to August 10, 2022.
The State 9, State 16, State 35 and State 36 helium wells are four of a total of 29 helium exploration well locations at Galactica/Pegasus in the permitting pipeline.
These wells follow up Blue Star’s recent discoveries in the JXSN#1, JXSN#2 and JXSN#3 wells at the Galactica/Pegasus prospects.
