Red Pine Exploration Inc (TSX-V:RPX, OTCQB:RDEXF) announced new results from its 2022 Phase 1 exploration program at its Wawa gold project in northern Ontario, saying it has hit high-grade gold mineralization in the Minto Mine Shear Zone with drill results that included 68.7 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 4.7 metres (m) and 231.5 g/t gold over 1.2m.
The explorer also said it has confirmed gold mineralization in the extension of the Jubilee Shear south of the Parkhill Fault, adding more than 2.5 kilometres in strike length of known continuous gold mineralization to the Wawa Gold Corridor.
“We know that the historic high grade mines; Minto, Parkhill and Darwin Grace; have produced spectacular gold intersections throughout their operational history and it is understandable that we are now intersecting similar high-grade as we work to expand our resources into these areas,” Red Pine Exploration CEO Quentin Yarie said in a statement.

“Red Pine is making excellent progress as we expand the footprint of our current resource,” Yarie added.
Red Pine also noted that visible gold has been intersected in the Jubilee shear south of the Parkhill fault in hole JS-22-368, which it says proves its team’s understanding of this large gold system.
The company added that results from drill hole SD-22-373, combined with those of SD-21-298A, indicate that the Minto Mine deposit has the potential to host zones of high-grade gold mineralization.
Red Pine’s flagship Wawa Gold project is spread over 6,986 hectares (ha) and hosts several former mines with a combined historic production of 120,000 ounces (oz) of gold. The company's attractive Wawa property in Ontario has Barrick Gold's Hemlo mine to the west and Newmont's Borden mine to the east - the two largest gold producers in the world. The project also has other successful neighbors like Alamos Gold and Argonaut Gold.
