District Metals Corp said five holes were sunk at its polymetallic Gruvberget property in Sweden, which have underscored the potential of the project and increased the firm's understanding of the geology. Core drilling began in early June this year and is now completed for a total of 1,144 metres (m). Assay results are expected by late August or early September, this year, the company said. Notably, polymetallic sulphide mineralization was hit in four of the holes at the Gruvberget North zone and multiple mineralized intervals from 0.4 to 8.8 metre (m) in width were observed in each. District also highlighted that the system at the Gruvberget North zone could be a possible Strataform zinc-lead-silver mineralization, which would make it analogous to Lundin Mining's Zinkgruvan mine, which sits 190 kilometres (km) to the south of the Gruvberget property.
