Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) is preparing for flow-back after completing fluid circulation operations at the high-impact Flames 3-10-1S-3W WXH1 Well in Oklahoma.
Flames is the company’s third well in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) in the world-class Anadarko Basin.
Well operator Black Mesa Energy, LLC, a controlled subsidiary of Brookside, has just completed the stage of work leading up to flow-back operations.
This involved the successful circulation of drilling fluids to clean up and remove any remaining debris from the milling of the isolation plugs and stimulation process.
Connected to pipeline
The Flames Well location has been connected to the Enerfin Resources Company gas sales pipeline and an Enerfin gas sales meter has been installed.
This stage of work at Flames also included the installation of a flowline manifold with the flowline connected from the wellhead to the tank battery and inspected.
A flowback sand separator and a 3-phase test unit, which are temporary facilities, have been set and tested.
Preparing for flow-back
Black Mesa is now preparing for the start of flow-back operations as Flames activity proceeds on schedule, safely and without incident.
The well will be flowed to temporary facilities on location as the stimulation fluids start to be recovered.
Temporary facilities used during the initial flow-back phase are specifically designed to remove sand and other debris.

The Flames Well in Carter County, Oklahoma, was drilled by Kenai Drilling Company as a full-length horizontal well targeting the Woodford Formation at an average depth of ~7,800 feet.
It was drilled to a total measured depth of ~18,140 feet.
