Recruiter.com Group Inc. has shared insights into the labor market and hiring trends with the release of its Recruiter Index for June 2022.
According to the index, candidate sentiment fell further in June after dipping in May, while recruiter sentiment slipped to 3.2 out of 5, matching February 2022 levels.
Recruiter.com noted that the decreases in both sentiments may have been the result of a slowdown in hiring, with recruiters working on an average of 16 open roles in June, against 22 open positions in May.

According to the index, 44% of the recruiters polled said candidates have held two jobs over the past two years. In June, there was an increase in the number of candidates who held three jobs to 21% and four jobs to 14%.
Recruiter.com CEO Evan Sohn said job mobility is set to continue. “People are going to chase the jobs that have more compensation, and companies need to better align how many roles they are attriting and hiring on a daily basis," he said.
Compensation was the top priority for candidates in June, at 42%, while at 45%, it was also the top reason why employees were leaving their current jobs.
Information technology remained the most in-demand professional category, followed by recruiting and staffing, medical and healthcare, architecture and engineering, and sales.
