Silverton Metals Corp announces new CFO and director appointments

Kyle Appleby has been appointed as chief financial officer to replace Killian Ruby, who resigned on June 15, 2022, while Scott Margach has been appointed as a director to replace Barry Girling

Silverton Metals Corp (TSX-V:SVTN, OTCQB:SVTNF) has announced new appointments to replace officials who have resigned from the company.

The Vancouver-based explorer said Kyle Appleby has been appointed as chief financial officer (CFO) to replace Killian Ruby, who resigned on June 15, 2022, while Scott Margach has been appointed as a director to replace Barry Girling.

A chartered professional accountant, Appleby spent the first 10 years of his career as an accountant in private companies and investment funds but left in 2007 to focus on providing management and accounting services to public companies in a variety of industries including junior mining, food production, agriculture, cannabis, technology, and cryptocurrency.

The company noted that Appleby has been the CFO for numerous public listed companies in Canada, US and London, and has extensive experience in financial reporting, IPOs, fund-raising, and corporate governance for over 20 years.

A member in good standing with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and Canada, Appleby is also a director of two other public companies.

Meanwhile, Margach is an experienced analyst and portfolio manager with a focus on fixed income and digital assets, having managed both Canadian and US public equities for more than 25 years, Silverton Metals said.

A chartered financial analyst, he has a consulting background in Environmental, Social and Governance issues for public companies.

A Canadian company focused on the exploration and development of quality silver projects, Silverton Metals holds a 100% interest in three significant silver assets in Mexico: Pluton in Durango, Peñasco Quemado in Sonora, and La Frazada in Nayarit.
