Bens Creek Group PLC (AIM:BEN, OTC:BENCF) has appointed Murat Erden at its new chief financial officer with immediate effect.
As well as joining the senior management team, the company said he will also be responsible for the development and implementation of the company's ESG (environmental, social and governance) and sustainability strategy.
As of today, Raju Haldankar has today ceased his responsibilities as CFO but will continue as a director, the company added.
Erden’s 25-plus years of experience in private equity, banking, technology and resources include being CFO of NYSE-listed Turkcell for almost 15 years, before working as a CFO for London-based Ice Group.
Since 2018 he has been chairman of ARCH EM Partners, a specialist emerging markets investment advisor focused on resources, logistics and renewable energy, where he has held the senior management function role in the UK.
An alumnus of the London Business School and the Wharton Executive Program, Erden is a specialist in responsible investment with qualifications in Environmental & Social Sustainability Management of the European Investment Bank and in Sustainable Finance from Cambridge University.
Following the appointment, the board comprises Adam Wilson as chief executive, Haldankar as executive director), Robin Fryer as non-executive chairman and David Harris as non-executive director.
