Anteris Technologies Ltd (ASX:AVR, OTC:AMEUF) has appointed Dr Martin Leon, MD to its Global Medical Advisory Board to help accelerate progress in product development and clinical science and further validate the novel DurAVR™ Transcatheter Heart Valve System for patients with severe aortic stenosis.
Dr Leon is well experienced to do this. The Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and director of the Columbia Interventional Cardiovascular Care Center, past director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories, is the founder and chairman emeritus of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation and the founder of Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics.
Highly credentialed addition to the team
Dr Leon is a globally recognised early pioneer in the development of minimally invasive approaches to treating coronary and structural heart disease and has served as a principal investigator for more than 75 landmark clinical trials that have shaped the field of interventional cardiology, co-authored more than 2,000 papers and performed more than 10,000 procedures.
He is a leader in the field of interventional cardiology and structural heart disease.
