Maple Gold Mines aims to establish a new gold district in Quebec's prolific Abitibi gold belt

Maple Gold Mines aims to establish a new gold district in Quebec's prolific Abitibi gold belt

Maple Gold Mines Ltd (TSX-V:MGM, OTCQB:MGMLF) president and CEO Matthew Hornor joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with details of the company's projects in the Abitibi Greenstone Gold Belt of Quebec in Canada, which he described as one of the best jurisdiction for mining in the world.

The Abitibi has already produced, on whole, about 200 million ounces of gold and Hornor said it is estimated that there are another 300 million ounces yet to be produced in the region. Maple Gold aims to capitalize on that through its 50/50 joint venture with Agnico Eagle Mines to jointly advance the district-scale Douay and Joutel gold projects.

The exploration company also holds an exclusive option to acquire 100% of the Eagle Mine Property located at Joutel.
