Lithium Power increases its footprint with several WA acquisitions

Lithium Power increases its footprint with several WA acquisitions

Lithium Power International Ltd (ASX:LPI)’s Andrew Phillips updates Proactive’s Elisha Newell on its recent acquisitions, which significantly increases its tenement holdings in Western Australia. LPI’s acquisition of CMC Lithium and its Greenbushes Project adds an extra 365km2 of prospective ground around Talison Lithium’s Greenbushes Mine, the world’s largest hard-rock spodumene operation. The acquisition makes LPI the largest tenement holder in the Greenbushes region. The company has identified drilling targets, but the increased tenure now gives it much broader scope. The further acquisition of two tenements in the mineral rich Eastern Goldfields of WA outside Kalgoorlie, is part of the company’s strategy to add to the portfolio of LPI’s Western Australian hard rock spin out company, Western Lithium (TSX:WLC) Ltd. Phillips also highlights the timing of the potential demerger and listing of Western Lithium Ltd will allow LPI to focus in Q3 2022 on the consolidation of ownership of its flagship Chilean joint venture company, Minera Salar Blanco S.A.
