Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL)’s Julian Ford speaks with Elisha Newell about the resumption of fieldwork targeting a spodumene-rich LCT (lithium-caesium-tantalum) system at its highly prospective Tambourah Lithium Project in WA’s Pilbara region. Ford highlights the importance of the drilling, the advantages of Tambourah and RGL’s next steps. The CEO highlights the company’s aim to delineate a large near surface high grade spodumene mineral resource which the processing plants are set up to process. Ford explains this is a classic LCG system and the recent results are high grade. The program will take about six to 12 weeks to complete has the potential to upgrade the project in terms of scale and prospectivity in quick time. The company, which is fully funded for this program, will look to better characterise the mineralised system at Tambourah and test geochemical and geophysical targeting techniques as it looks to delineate drill-ready targets. Results from the current program are expected at the end of the September quarter and RGL will continue to look to add to its portfolio of projects.
