Elon Musk and a top executive at one of his companies had twins last November, taking his total count of children to nine (not quite enough to populate Mars just yet), Business Insider reported.

Musk and Shivon Zilis, who works at the world’s richest man’s neurotechnology firm Neuralink, successfully had a petition approved to change the surname of the twins to “have their father’s last name,” according to court documents.
Zilis, 36, has been tipped as one of the top contenders to head Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) if Musk's US$44bn proposed takeover were to succeed.
She began working at Neuralink in May 2017 and was also appointed Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s project director in artificial intelligence, before leaving in 2019.
Zilis is also a board member at artificial intelligence research company OpenAI, which like Neuralink was co-founded by the South African and Canadian billionaire.
Musk’s first five children were with his ex-wife - Canadian author Justine Wilson – before he had two with Canadian musician Grimes.
He claimed that Grimes and himself were "semi-separated" at the time.
