Hawkmoon Resources Corp (CSE:HM, OTCQB:HWKRF) has announced that its vice president of exploration, Thomas Clarke, is now at the company’s Wilson gold property in Quebec to supervise the start of a trenching program there.
The gold projects developer said the trenching is designed to examine a series of targets of interest in underexplored areas of the property, as gold showings at that location are present at the interface of volcanic rocks and a gabbro sill.
“July is the start of our summer work season, and the company is looking forward to positive results,” Hawkmoon Resources president Branden Haynes said in a statement.

“The objective of the trenching program is to extend a historical gold zone, aiming to dig around the contact between the volcanics and gabbro and examine a series of IP (induced polarization) anomalies with a favourable signature,” Haynes added.
Hawkmoon noted that the trenching will focus primarily on the northern limb of the fold structure as well as on other targets on the property.
The company also said it expects to begin drilling on the Wilson property in the middle of July 2022.
Hawkmoon Resources is focused entirely on its two Quebec gold projects. The Wilson gold project is located in one of the world's largest gold-endowed areas, the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The Wilson is accessed by government-maintained roads and is near the east of the town of Lebel-sur-Quevillon. The second project is situated in the Belleterre Gold Camp southwest of Val-d’Or.
