Tempus Resources Ltd (ASX:TMR, TSX-V:TMRR) has fielded more visible gold from diamond drilling of the Blue Vein structure within the Elizabeth Gold Project in southern British Columbia, Canada.
The company has observed multiple flecks of gold in drill-hole EZ-22-09 over a quartz vein of about one metre.
Grains of visible gold have been observed in the uncut core at the hanging wall side of the vein structure including additional grains observed at 106 metres.
To date, about 2,200 metres of drilling have been completed over nine holes targeting the Blue Vein structure, with visible gold now reported in drill-hole EZ-22-09 and previously in EZ-22-03.
Results are pending with assays for drill holes EZ-22-01 through EZ-22-03 expected shortly.
“Great start”
Tempus president and CEO Jason Bahnsen said: “Drilling at the Elizabeth Project is off to a great start this season.
“We have now completed the first nine holes of the program that have been focused on extending the Blue Vein gold mineralisation.
“The repeated observation of visible gold in drill holes bodes well for assays, which are expected to be received within the next few weeks for the first few drill holes.”
Blue Vein potential
The Blue Vein was discovered in 2021 with a total of seven holes intersecting the vein to date, including three holes with ‘bonanza’ grade intersections.
Also, high-grade gold mineralisation was identified over a strike length of more than 80 metres in 2021.
About 15 holes have been planned this year to target the expansion of the Blue Vein high-grade gold mineralisation along strike and down dip.
The 2022 drilling is testing Blue Vein gold mineralisation over a total strike length of about 400 metres.
