Tocvan Ventures Corp told investors that it has identified, from surface sampling, a new undrilled target called the Murcielago prospect at its El Picacho project in Sonora state, Mexico. The sampling at the gold-silver project has been going on since April this year with 65 samples taken from the Murcielago prospect, with 14 of them returning greater than 0.1 grams per ton (g/t) gold. Murcielago prospect has been expanded with gold-silver values (7.2 g/t gold and 36 g/t silver) hosted within a limestone unit along a 450-meter (m) west-southwest trend, said Tocvan, while "significant" lead and zinc mineralization was noted to occur along with the gold and silver. "The results from our recent surface exploration program have confirmed another untested drill target at El Picacho," CEO Brodie Sutherland explained in a statement.

Infinity Stone Ventures Corp announced that it has entered into an option agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the Galaxy pegmatite project in Quebec from Quartier Minerals Inc. The two companies inked a letter of intent for the project earlier in the year. The Galaxy pegmatite project covers 22 mineral claims and two pending claim applications covering 1,411 hectares in southern Quebec. The property contains at least 30 pegmatite exposures, representing 30 pegmatite dikes of Laurentian or more recent rocks of the Precambrian Grenvillian Series, according to Infinity Stone.
Vanstar Mining Resources Inc has released encouraging drill results from partner IAMGOLD from its Nelligan project joint venture in northern Québec, which show the potential for the asset's future growth. The assays hail from IAMGOLD's winter diamond drill program, which comprised eight holes, for 4,714 metres (m). Almost all the holes hit 'multiple' wide intercepts of gold mineralization at higher-than-average grades, noted Vanstar. "The winter drilling program has been a complete success, confirming that gold resources can be added at depth and along strike," said J.C. St-Amour, the CEO of Vanstar, in a statement. "Most encouraging is the fact that the deposit remains open in all directions, especially at depth, where we are seeing some holes return better than average grade and widths, suggesting there is ample room for additional expansion and growth," he added.

BetterLife Pharma Inc said it has secured additional Mitacs funding for preclinical depression studies on its LSD-derivative molecule BETR-001. American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) has welcomed Thomas Nagel as senior analytical chemist as part of its acquisition of technical talent to expand the research and development division focused on battery metals extraction and qualification processes. Nagel, who will be based at the University of Nevada, Reno's Nevada Center for Applied Research, will help ABTC advance and implement the rigorous methods of material characterization that are needed to certify in-house manufactured battery-grade materials from the recycling of spent batteries as well as primary materials. "Building a company with extraordinary ambition requires extraordinary people," Dr Mark McDaniel, senior staff analytical chemist at ABTC said in a statement. New York-based hedge funds and family offices account for nearly $2.0 million of the proceeds from the second tranche. Combined with the first tranche as announced on June 21, 2022, the company has raised a total of $2,527,241.20 ($558,991.20 for the flow-through portion and $1,968,250 for the non-flow-through portion). The company said it has not paid any commission or finder's fee in connection with this financing. Water Tower Research has initiated coverage of graphite company Westwater Resources Inc, calling it a green energy materials company with a “laser focus” on becoming a US supplier of battery-grade graphite products. NYSE American exchange-listed Westwater Resources is developing the Kellyton graphite processing facility that is under construction in east-central Alabama. In addition, Westwater’s Coosa graphite deposit is the most advanced natural flake graphite deposit in the contiguous United States, located across 41,900 acres (around 17,000 hectares) in Coosa County, Alabama. Analysts at Stifel GMP have reiterated a 'Buy' rating and $6.20 price target for i-80 Gold Corp, following the company’s recent announcement that it had begun shipping ore from its Granite Creek Mine to Nevada Gold Mines' Twin Creeks processing facility. The move was part of a previously announced toll-milling agreement included in the Lone Tree property acquisition, the Stifel analysts noted. “The ramp-up of Granite Creek is progressing well with plans to reach 450 [tons per day] by the end of the year and 1,000 tpd by H2-2023. Today's announcement is another step toward developing i-80's Nevada assets into the big picture hub-and-spoke model where material is processed at the Lone Tree facility, they said.
