Aftermath Silver (TSX-V:AAG) Ltd has hailed the latest diamond drill results from its Berenguela silver-copper-manganese asset in Peru, which will be included in a new resource estimate, currently underway.
The results come from 13 holes, four of which were twinned historic reverse circulation (RC) holes, and six holes hit silver-copper (Ag-Cu) mineralization from surface.
The first phase of the drill program at Berenguela was completed in May this year with 63 diamond holes sunk for 6,168m and Aftermath said it expects to receive all results by mid-July.
"Our 2021/22 drill campaign continues to deliver excellent results which will be incorporated into a new resource estimate that's currently underway," Ralph Rushton, president of Aftermath, told investors in a statement.

"Holes drilled on the eastern extent of the known mineralisation returned significant copper intersections confirming the polymetallic, zoned nature of the Berenguela mineralisation. Our twinning program continued to return results that compare favourably with historic values, and we have now acquired samples for metallurgical testwork later this year across various mineralized domains," he added.
Highlight results included 25.30 metres (m) at 452 grams per ton (g/t) silver and 1.63% copper in one hole, staring from 74.80 downhole.
That includes an intersection of 5m at 704g/t silver, and 2.67% copper from 77.8m downhole and 9.25m at 655g/t silver and 1.59% copper from 86.8m depth.
Another hole hit a length of 86.8m starting from surface at 1.57% copper plus 82 g/t silver.
Aftermath said it was incorporating the new drilling into a revised geological interpretation of the Berenguela mineralization which will be used to complete a new NI 43-101 resource estimate this year.
Historical mapping and resource modelling shows that the mineralisation extends roughly 1,300m along strike, including a 100m length zone with historic open-pit mining but no drilling, with a width of 200 to 400m.
