Australis Capital Inc (CSE:AUSA, OTCQB:AUSAF), doing business as Audacious, has announced the appointment of Jill Swainson to its board of directors.
The company said as a deeply experienced legal professional, Swainson brings many capabilities important to the growth of Audacious, including strategic vision, business acumen, leadership, financial management, governance and compliance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Audacious CEO Terry Booth noted that Swainson had been one of the leading legal lights in the cannabis sector, overseeing numerous transactions, international expansion, and product launches.

“She brings a level-headed and entrepreneurial approach that will serve Audacious and its shareholders well as we continue to grow the company,” he said.
Swainson added that she was pleased to take on this new role at Audacious, a company she said was better positioned than many multi-state operators and other industry participants on the US east coast.
“Combined with its existing high-quality assets in Nevada and California, as well as its international operations in Asia, Audacious is an exciting cannabis company and I look forward to working with Terry and the team to help bring the company to the next level,” she said.
The company said Swainson would replace Avi Gellar, who has served as a board member since November 2020 and has resigned for personal reasons.
Audacious is a next-generation multi-state operator growing the cannabis industry of tomorrow from the ground up.
