Majuba Hill Copper Corp has revealed that core drilling is underway at its flagship Majuba Hill porphyry copper, silver, and gold project, 156 miles outside Reno, Nevada. The Vancouver-based company said that Falcon Drilling is onsite at its property in Pershing County to drill 3,800 meters (12,500 feet) of core. The planned, deep core holes are targeting what the company believes is the causative granodiorite/dacite intrusive for copper mineralization which was discovered in the 2021 deep core holes. The firm said deep core sites were picked based on compilation and integration of recent drilling by Majuba combined with the deep Induced Polarization/Resistivity and Magnetic geophysical programs completed in 2020 and 2021.

Nickel North Exploration Corp has announced a 77% increase in mineral resources at its Hawk Ridge nickel-cobalt-PGE sulphide project in northern Québec. The junior resource firm released an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) outlining an increase of 76.6% to 34.66 million tonnes (Mt) of inferred resource. Total inferred mineral resources for four mineralized deposits – Hope Advance Main (HAM), Hope Advance North (HAN), Gamma and Falco 7 – increased by 76.6% to 34.66Mt at 0.22% nickel, 0.56% copper, 0.013% cobalt, 0.19 grams per ton (g/t) palladium, 0.05 g/t platinum and 0.025 g/t gold, the company said.

Rio2 Limited and its Chilean subsidiary Fenix Gold Limitada revealed that Chile's Regional Evaluation Commission which includes 12 governmental institutions has voted for not approving the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for its Fenix Gold project in Chile. Following the decision, the company will work on evaluating its options and decide on an action plan. The company said it remains with the conviction that it has provided “enough technical information and studies to obtain a favorable EIA decision.” This is well supported by the position from the Environmental Assessment Service (SEA). The firm noted that the Fenix Gold project is an example of "modern gold mining where a full complement of technical, environmental, and social considerations have been consulted on and designed in from the outset." The project represents a significant investment in the gold mining business in Chile by a junior mining company and will generate employment for nearly 1,200 people during the construction phase and 550 people during the 17 years' operations phase. Royal Fox Gold Inc has reported encouraging drill results from the southern part of the Arctic Fox zone at its Philibert project in Quebec, which, it says, will add "significant" near-surface gold ounces to the project's resource. The latest assays hail from ten holes, which tested the southern footwall of the Arctic Fox Zone over 200 metres (m) of strike and up to 330m depth. "The results released today continue to demonstrate clear continuity and consistency along strike and down dip as we report results for the 93 remaining holes," said Simon Marcotte, the CEO of Royal Fox.

PyroGenesis Canada Inc said it has completed an on-schedule delivery of a 1-megawatt (MW) plasma torch to an unnamed multi-billion-dollar client. The torch is designed for use in iron ore pelletization, an important upstream part of the steelmaking process. Now that the company’s torch system has been delivered, the installation will proceed at the discretion of the client, PyroGenesis said. Installing the plasma torch system and all related peripherals is estimated to take approximately three to four weeks, after which a site acceptance test (SAT) is performed.

Soma Gold Corp told investors it expects earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) to further grow this year as the miner continues to lift output at its Colombia operation. In a statement, the company reported that its El Bagre asset produced 6,952 gold-equivalent (AuEq) ounces and sold 7,740 AuEq ounces in the second quarter to June 30, 2022. Production for the first half came in at 12,054 AuEq ounces, which was 11% ahead of the firm's plan of 10,845 AuEq ounces. Royal Helium Ltd - which is acquiring Imperial Helium Corp - said it has received the comprehensive simulation study for multistage hydraulically fractured horizontal wells completed by Dr Gary Zhao, Professor of Petroleum Systems Engineering at the University of Regina. The Saskatoon-based company said that over 600 simulations were run with multiple variables, using the data from Royal's drill-stem testing (DST) and Diagnostic Fracture Injection Test (DFIT) operations in the Climax-4 well. Royal is currently evaluating several of the viable production well models presented and will select the ultimate design, or designs that will have the largest deliverability with the quickest payback period. Given the large areal extent of over 30 sections spread over more than 30 square miles of Nazare, multiple wells will be considered, said the company. Royal anticipates well design finalization and drilling of the first Nazare well in late 2022.

The TSX said holders of the debentures may convert the debentures into shares of the company, at any time before the close on July 18, 2022, at $1.21 per share. This conversion price represents a conversion rate of approximately 826 shares per $1,000 principal amount of debentures. The TSX notes that trades in the debentures on July 14, 2022, and July 15, 2022, will settle on July 15, 2022.
