AdAlta alters development program to maximise potential partner opportunities

AdAlta alters development program to maximise potential partner opportunities

AdAlta Ltd (ASX:1AD)’s Tim Oldham discusses the latest developments in its main i-body platform, AD-214, with Proactive’s Elisha Newell. The company has deferred the commitment of financial resources for manufacturing campaigns and toxicology studies for AD-214’s next clinical trials by six months. While it had been focused on speed to clinic, based on feedback from clinical partners and pre-clinical data, it has now decided to maximise the options it has for the asset. Oldham also explains the three potential development pathways for of AD-214 with regard to fibrotic diseases. The company has good clinical data in lung fibrosis, which is its primary focus and in its effectiveness in kidney fibrosis and eye fibrosis. 1AD has received strong interest from potential partners in all three of those indications, but all have different preferences and as such it was best for 1AD to take the time to get the best of the available data set before making cost decisions. Effectively, 1AD has modified its development program timeline to maximise partner opportunities in all three indications and extend its cash runway.
