Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX:RTR) has welcomed internationally recognised mining executive Geoff Jones as a non-executive director.
The 30-year veteran has been involved in the evaluation and development of major projects across a diverse range of commodities at a global level and his appointment is expected to strengthen the board’s capability, as it advances the emerging world-class Earaheedy Zinc-Lead Project in Western Australia.
“We are delighted to have attracted such a highly regarded mining executive like Geoff to the Rumble board, as he brings with him a wide ranging and successful global background in mine project development and construction,” Rumble managing director Shane Sikora said.
“Geoff’s knowledge and experience will be invaluable as Rumble continues to advance the emerging world-class Earaheedy base metal discovery.”
Rumble is focused on rapidly advancing the large-scale zinc-lead-silver-copper discovery at the Earaheedy Project in Western Australia. The project has the potential to be a world-class base metal discovery of provincial scale.
About Geoff Jones
The new non-executive director Geoff Jones, BE (Civil Eng), FIEAust, CPEng, is a civil engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in engineering design and construction for minerals processing and mine project development in Australia and overseas.
Jones previously worked for Baulderstone Hornibrook, John Holland, Minproc Engineers and Signet Engineering before serving as group project engineer for Resolute Mining Ltd where he was responsible for the development of its mining projects in Australia, Ghana and Tanzania.
Since 2011, Geoff has been the managing director for GR Engineering Services Ltd (ASX:GNG), a leading process engineering consulting and contracting company that specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries. Geoff also currently serves as non-executive director of Ausgold Ltd (ASX:AUC).
