Braemar Shipping reports 'very strong' trading

The shipbroker added it was delaying its results for 2022 due to complexities related to the sale of Cory Vertom

Braemar Shipping Services (LSE:BMS) said trading in the new financial year continues to be very strong and ahead of management expectations.

The shipbroker added it has delayed its results for 2022 again due to audit work on the sale of Cory Vertom taking longer than expected.

Braemar added it will announce a revised publication for the results for the year ended 28 February 2022 once this process is complete.

Braemar had already flagged this delay in the accounts in May when it forecast profits in the current year (2023) would be not less than £12mln.

Today, it reiterated it was continuing to benefit both from increased scale and current favourable market conditions.
