Guardforce AI Co Ltd has announced a collaboration with Hong Kong Industrial Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Centre Limited (FLAIR) to develop Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) solutions and artificial intelligence (AI) cloud platforms worldwide.
"Collaborating with FLAIR is an important milestone in establishing a first-class R&D center based in Hong Kong,” Olivia Wang, CEO of Guardforce AI said in a statement.
“Within the past 24 months, we have been rapidly expanding our RaaS platform from one market to ten markets, including Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Dubai, Australia, Japan, and the US, to meet the growing needs of our clients and partners.
“Getting involved with a truly innovative R&D center will strengthen our ability to build a successful ecosystem surrounding our robotic solutions and will help boost our ability to develop better RaaS solutions that will be specifically tailored to the requirements of local markets."

FLAIR was founded by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) with RWTH Aachen Campus in Germany as its major collaborator. Located at the Hong Kong Science Park, FLAIR is part of AIR@InnoHK, which is one of two world-class research clusters being established by InnoHK Clusters of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government, to support Hong Kong in developing into an international innovation and technology hub.
