Hydrogen and electric-powered lorries will be massed produced in the UK by Tevva, an Essex-based startup.
Today it said the truck would be publicly unveiled at the Road Transport Expo, currently taking place .
Last year Tevva unveiled the combination of the hydrogen fuel cell system from Loop Energy with Tevva's electric battery heavy goods vehicle design, allowing its 7.5-tonne trucks to drive for up 310 miles.
Hydrogen fuel cells convert hydrogen into electricity and extend the range of the electric truck from 160 miles otherwise.
So far the startup said it has raised US$140mln, including £42mln ($57mln) last November to enable it to complete its new factory and begin manufacturing its first mass-produced vehicle, of which first deliveries were planned from the second half of 2022.
Tevva noted that hydrogen refuelling typically takes a similar time to diesel truck refuelling, at between 5 and 20 minutes, and the dual-use of both battery electric and hydrogen energy sources "futureproofs Tevva and its customers as the transition away from fossil fuels and the decarbonisation of the transport industry continues".
The company said it is currently "on-boarding" various hydrogen suppliers to enable it to serve its customer base as it grows.

He said the company believes its hydrogen electric truck will be a popular choice for fleet operators across the UK, Europe and eventually North America.
"When a zero-emission truck is doing more miles per day, that is very good for the air we breathe, for the planet and for the economics of running electric trucks,” Bennett explained to Sky News.
"Every mile you drive on an electric truck, it's so much cheaper than driving on a diesel truck."
"If you're concerned about range, and you're not driving a lot of miles, you're just not saving enough money as you could."
Despite adding hydrogen-powered fuel cells to its lorries, the main power source will continue to be electric, which is cheaper and easier to obtain and can be recharged overnight.
