BA-owner IAG converts 14 A320neo options into orders

“These modern, more fuel-efficient aircraft will bring both cost efficiencies and environmental benefits to IAG airlines,” the group said

International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (LSE:IAG) (IAG) said it is converting options on 14 A320neo family short-haul aircraft into firm orders.

The options, announced in August 2013, are being converted into orders for 11 A320neos and three A321neos, the owner of British Airways said in a statement.

In March this year, the airline group exercised an option to convert eight A320neo family options into six A320neos and two A321neos.

The planes will be delivered in 2024 and 2025 and will be used to replace A320ceo family aircraft in its short-haul fleet.

“These modern, more fuel-efficient aircraft will bring both cost efficiencies and environmental benefits to IAG airlines,” the company said.
