Theme park photo-taker Visum Technologies floats on Aquis

Visum is newly incorporated and has no historical financial information available, though the operational business has been going since 2011

Visum Technologies PLC (AQSE:VIS) shares started trading on London’s Aquis Stock Exchange today following an initial public offer where it raised £0.6mln at 14p per share.

The company, which owns and operates cameras to sell souvenir videos and photos of people riding on rollercoasters, will have a maiden market capitalisation of £7.1mln.

Management believes that the company's camera system is the market-leading ‘on-ride’ video and photo souvenir system available to theme parks.

The cameras allow theme parks to make additional revenue from selling “unique video and photographic content” and benefit from “visitor-led social media marketing” as the content is shared on social media.

Visum is newly incorporated and has no historical financial information available, though the operational business has been going since 2011.

Chief executive Marc Dixon previously worked at Kodak and then Picsolve, which provides the ‘image capture’ photography experiences at Thorpe Park's ghost train, while non-executive chairman Andrew Edge was at Tussauds Group, Park Resorts, Odeon & UCI Cinemas and Away Resorts.

Dixon said he believes the Aquis flotation “will provide an ideal platform from which to execute on our growth ambitions and deliver the next phase of growth for our business”.
