M&C Saatchi PLC (AIM:SAA) expects full year profits to be in line with expectations as the much-coveted advertising group enjoyed “continued strong trading momentum” this year.
Chairman Gareth Davis said headline profit before tax is in line with management's expectations of £31mln in full year 2022, according to a regulatory filing released in advance of its annual general meeting later today.
This represents an uplift on the £27.3mln of pre-tax profit that the company generated in 2021.
In April, M&C Saatchi said it expects to boost that profit figure further to £41mln next year.
The advertising agency has rejected several advances from potential suitors in the past month.
In mid-June, its board revised its previous recommendation to accept a takeover proposition from Next Fifteen Communications Group PLC (AIM:NFC) after the suitor’s share price fell.
This was shortly after batting away a bid from AdvancedAdvT Ltd (LSE:ADVT), the investment vehicle of its largest shareholder, Vin Murria.
