Gratomic Inc announced that it has successfully completed the first stage of the diamond drilling program at its Aukam graphite project in Namibia.
The graphite projects developer said 16 holes, totaling 1,218.9 metres, were drilled during this stage, with all holes intercepting graphite veins as expected.
Gratomic noted that assay results are expected within 30 days, enabling the geological modelling of the drilled mineralization to be completed and quantified, as well as defining and pursuing new drill targets.

At the same time, the company said it has initiated a near-surface bench excavation program at the region of the historic adits in order to unveil additional mineralization, which was not previously accessible by the drill program due to poor access conditions in the upper areas of the mountain.
In addition to recovering eventual mineralization from this section, the program will also provide proper surfaces to accommodate drilling rigs for a second planned drill program, aiming to intercept additional veins, Gratomic said.
Gratomic is focused on becoming a leading global graphite supplier with projects in Namibia, Brazil, and Canada.
