Bens Creek knows of no reason for share price movement

"The company confirms that there has been no material developments"

Bens Creek Group said it knew of no company-specific reason for its share price dip today.

Shares in the West Virginia-based metallurgical coal miner were down around 28% at 46p near the close of trading in London

“The company confirms that there has been no material developments since the update released on 27 June 2022,” it said in a statement.

In that release, Bens Creek said it had exercised an option for Mega Highwall Mining to operate a second highwall miner on its behalf, doubling its monthly production capacity.

“By operating two highwall miners simultaneously, this will enable an increase in our production capacity to up to 80,000 tons per month,” said chief executive Adam Wilson.
