finnCap calls for entrepreneurship to be taught in British schools

Financial services luminary Sam Smith this month stepped down from finnCap’s helm but will stay on as an adviser

Financial services firm finncap Group PLC (AIM:FCAP) has jointly called on the UK government to integrate enterprise education into the school curriculum.

The firm unveiled its Enterprise Education report on Tuesday in collaboration with the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Entrepreneurship.

They recommend that schools in England should introduce a Youth Enterprise Strategy to teach entrepreneurial skills, which would match a similar scheme that has been running in Wales since 2004.

“Enterprise can help us benefit from the opportunities provided by both new technologies and globalisation, but the cultivation of these skills must begin in schools,” finnCap said in a statement.
