Genflow adds 'capital markets experience' with board appointments

"The appointments will furnish the board with broad and relevant experience of US-listed biotech companies,” a statement said

Genflow Biosciences PLC (LSE:GENF) said Tamara Joseph and Dr Guy-Charles Fanneau de la Horie will join the board as independent non-executive directors with immediate effect.

The appointments “greatly support the company’s growth and deeply strengthen capital markets experience," a statement from the long-life biotech company said.

“Importantly, and specifically, for the company, the appointments will furnish the board with broad and relevant experience of US-listed biotech companies.”

Joseph has extensive experience spanning over 20 years within the biotech sector, supporting mergers and acquisitions, global expansion and financing.

Currently, she is the chief legal officer at Nasdaq-listed Spero Therapeutics, a pharmaceutical company, as well as previously holding the same role at Millendo Therapeutics, also Nasdaq-listed.

She has also served as an adviser to the boards of five listed US biotech companies, and her appointment reflects Genflow’s “aim of strengthening its presence in the US.”

Dr Fanneau de la Horie has “built, and led, biotech executive teams where he has acted as a chief executive officer,” the London-based biotech company said.

That includes leading successful initial public offerings and fundraisers, as well as operating as chief executive at biotech firms such as Euronext Growth, Pherecydes Pharma and Neovacs.

“We are delighted and indeed, honoured, to announce that Tamara Joseph and Dr Guy-Charles Fanneau de la Horie are joining the Genflow board,” said founder and chief executive Dr Eric Leire.

The company also said that Dr Gabrielle Silver, an independent non-executive director, and Professor Andrew Scott, a non-executive director, will be stepping down from their respective roles.
