Crossword Cybersecurity PLC (AIM:CCS) said it is continuing to build on its strategy to “acquire outstanding cyber security companies,” with discussions over a number of possible candidates underway.
In a statement, the company said it is looking for firms that complement and diversify its revenue base and wants to buy companies that will “drive Crossword’s growth ambitions.”
“Our acquisition strategy is based on providing win-win outcomes for both Crossword and the acquired companies, resulting in improved cross-selling, client customer experience and increased operational efficiency as a company,” said chief executive Tom Ilube.
The cybersecurity firm added early-stage talks with possible targets are underway following a market mapping exercise.
“We are conducting a number of conversations in parallel and will keep shareholders updated on relevant developments,” Ilube said.
Crossword stressed, however, there is no guarantee that any acquisition will happen despite conversations progressing.
