Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) could be set to release its virtual reality (VR) headset as early as January 2023, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
Kuo, in an analyst note, said that the headset is “the most complicated product Apple has ever designed” but that its release could fuel “rapid growth” in the VR headset space.
This isn’t the first time Kuo has made a prediction on the release, having said it could be released at some point this year as well as in the second quarter of 2023 in the past.
However, according to The Verge, while his latest note doesn’t guarantee a January release, narrowing it down to a specific month is a strong show of confidence from Kuo.
On the other hand, Kuo expects competitor Meta to take a step back from its VR hardware projects to focus on its advertising business.
