Etruscus Resources (CSE:ETR, OTC:ETRUF) Corp has announced that its 2022 exploration season is now underway with the start of an approximately 36 line-kilometre induced-polarization (IP) survey on its Lewis property in Newfoundland.
The mineral exploration company said the survey will cover an area of about 6.5 square kilometres and has been designed to expand upon an historical IP survey completed by previous operator Noranda Inc in 1990.
“Previous operator Noranda applied a combination of soil sampling and IP to outline multiple gold-bearing quartz veins," Etruscus Resources vice president of exploration Stephen Wetherup said in a statement.

“The team is now using these same techniques across an expanded area with the IP survey being the last step in delineating more drill targets,” Wetherup added.
Etruscus also noted that it has been “very encouraged” with the digitization and reinterpretation of historic work, which revealed that it has inherited a property with multiple drill-ready targets.
The company added that to efficiently develop drill targets on the property it has also completed the compilation and digitizing of all the historical exploration data on the property, which includes rock and soil sampling data, drilling data and geophysical surveys.
As well, Etruscus reported that an application for a drilling permit has been submitted to the Newfoundland Mineral Lands division, and the company expects to have the permit in place ahead of the upcoming planned drill program.
Etruscus’ assets include the Lewis property in central Newfoundland, which is under option to acquire a 100% interest, and the wholly-owned Rock & Roll and Sugar properties comprising 27,880 hectares near the past-producing Snip mine in British Columbia's prolific Golden Triangle.
