Nextleaf Solutions CEO Paul Pedersen joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news the company has been working in its Specialty Molecules division, to modify Delta-9-THC into a prodrug version of THC-O-Acetate commonly referred to as THC-O. Pedersen telling Proactive the company feels THC-O will not be subject to excise tax as it does not meet the definition of “Total THC” as defined under the Excise Act 2001. Pedersen also stated they are working right now to get products on the shelves by the end of the year.
