First Mining Gold Corp. (TSX:FF, OTCQX:FFMGF) said it has published its inaugural Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report for 2021, the company announced.
The report provides a comprehensive overview of the company's ESG commitments, practices and performance. It focuses on the Springpole Gold Project, a proposed open-pit mine at a site in northwestern Ontario.
Springpole is not currently operating or under construction, but it is FMG’s most significant mining project, the company said. The 780-hectare project is one of the smallest footprint open pit gold mining projects for a mine of its class size in Canada and has a projected mine life of 12 years.
