Etrucus Resources Corp has announced that its 2022 exploration season is now underway with the start of an approximately 36 line-kilometre induced-polarization (IP) survey on its Lewis property in Newfoundland. The mineral exploration company said the survey will cover an area of about 6.5 square kilometres and has been designed to expand upon an historical IP survey completed by previous operator Noranda Inc in 1990. “Previous operator Noranda applied a combination of soil sampling and IP to outline multiple gold-bearing quartz veins,” Etruscus Resources vice president of exploration Stephen Wetherup said in a statement.
Australis Capital Inc, which is doing business as Audacious, said it has struck an agreement with Hempire Farms LLC, a New York-based cannabis company with a license to cultivate, process and distribute cannabis products in the New York State recreational market. New York’s recreational cannabis market is expected to reach around $4.2 billion over the next couple of years, according to estimates. Audacious and Hempire plans to start planting its first batch of adult-use cannabis towards the end of June 2022, with the first harvest anticipated some around eight to 10 weeks later, according to a release

Essex Minerals Inc revealed that Meryllion Resources Corporation has formally advised the company that it intends to exercise its option to earn up to a 70% interest in the Mt Turner Copper-Molybdenum-Gold project, in north Queensland, Australia by funding up to a further $3.8 million in exploration in three stages. On April 26, 2022, Meryllion struck a 90-day option agreement with Essex to fund a minimum $250,000 on exploration at Mt Turner, including a detailed IP survey, to define drill targets within the porphyry system. After completing this expenditure Meryllion then had the right to earn up to a 70% interest in the project by funding up to a further $3.8 million in exploration in three stages.
Gratomic Inc has reported that global natural graphite pricing has significantly increased over the course of the last year, with demand continuing to outstrip supply amid the electric vehicle (EV) market’s rapid growth. As per Benchmark Mineral Intelligence data, the company said graphite prices have continued to increase steadily since January 2021 on all types of graphite with fine increasing by 45% from US$500 per tonne in January 2021 to US$983 per tonne in May of 2022. Large flake graphite increased by 20% from US$983 per tonne in January 2021 to US$1,187 per tonne in May 2022, while spherical graphite increased 8% from US$2,958 per tonne in January 2021 to US$3,207 per tonne in May 2022.
Nextleaf Solutions Ltd has provided an update on its patented novel route of manufacturing D9-tetrahydrocannabinol acetate (THC-O) produced by its Specialty Molecules division, saying it has become the first company in Canada to legally produce THC-O. Lion Copper and Gold Corp said it has entered into a debt settlement agreement with a creditor dated June 22, 2022, whereby the company has agreed to issue shares to settle debt in the amount of $100,000 owed to the creditor. The debt was incurred under an option agreement between the company and the creditor dated January 26, 2022. Under the agreement the company will issue 1,212,121 common shares of the company at a deemed price of $0.0825 per share to the creditor. The issuance of the common shares in connection with the debt settlement is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange and will be subject to a four-month hold period. The company also said that, further to its news release dated June 20, 2022, it wishes to clarify that in connection with the sale of the convertible debentures the company issued to the purchasers one detachable warrant for every US$0.06 (C$0.077) of principal amount of the convertible debentures subscribed for. Each warrant can be exercised to acquire a common share of the company at a price of US$0.06 (C$0.077) for a period of 20 months.

Vicinity Motor Corp. (TSX-V:VMC) said it has received an order worth over C$3 million from transportation solutions provider TOK Group for six Vicinity Lightning electric buses. The buses will be used to support a cleaner, greener, quieter shuttle bus service provided by Nieuport Aviation between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Union Station in Toronto. Delivery of the buses is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023, Vicinity Motor said. Water Tower Research LLC noted that Steelcase Inc (NYSE:SCS) reported first-quarter fiscal 2023 sales and operating results which beat analyst estimates, while second quarter fiscal 2023 guidance came in below estimates. For the quarter ended May 27, the office furniture company started in 1912 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, posted $740.1 million, up 33% from $556.6 million in 1Q22 and “$53.3 million better than our $687.4 million estimate,” said Water Tower. “Not surprisingly, with energy costs surging, inflation and supply chain disruptions persist. Under the amended services agreement Oak Hill will, in addition to the existing services, also provide investor relation activities and fulfill a promotional role for and on behalf of Think, as such terms are defined in the policies of the TSXV. All such services will be in compliance with the policies and guidelines of the TSXV. The amended services agreement has an effective date of June 3, 2022 and the initial term will end March 31, 2023. Thereafter, the agreement will automatically renew for successive twelve-month periods, unless one party provides 60 days' prior written notice of termination to the other party in advance of the conclusion of the then-current term. In consideration for these services, Think shall pay Oak Hill a monthly cash fee of $13,000 plus applicable taxes and reasonable expenses. Think Research also said the TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for filing the company's proposal to issue 74,380 common shares at a deemed value of 79 cents per share to settle outstanding debt for $58,760 with one creditor.
