Boohoo Group PLC (AIM:BOO) named Shaun McCabe as its chief financial officer, saying he is expected to take up the role later this year.
McCabe will take over from Neil Catto, who will transition to the role of an executive director and will stay on as a member of the board with “responsibility for strategic projects.”
McCabe joins from Trainline PLC (LSE:TRN), where “he has been key to growing the company’s operational and digital focus as CFO.”
He also has “extensive digital and retail experience” according to a statement from the online retailer, having held roles at ASOS and Amazon Europe.
Currently, McCabe sits on the group’s board as a non-executive director having joined in 2020 and is also the chair of the audit and risk committee.
He is also on the online fashion retailer's remuneration, ESG and nominations committee.
Following McCabe’s appointment, he will be replaced by Brian Small as the chair of the audit committee.
Tim Morris will take over as chair of the risk committee, while the process of hiring a further non-executive director will also take place.
“Neil has built a solid foundation for the Group and I look forward to helping the management team execute boohoo's growth strategy as CFO,” said McCabe.
