Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD) has won a place on a £1bn, four-year UK framework to build and maintain roads, along with other civil and municipal engineering works.
The Midlands Highways Alliance Plus (MHA+), which covers 35 local authorities from Oxfordshire up to Cumbria, put out to tender the new Medium Schemes Framework 4 to replace its previous framework.
After four years, the framework has the potential to be extended for another four years, the London-listed company said, adding that it has been a main contractor for the Alliance since 2014.
Under the medium schemes framework, contractors will be allocated work including highway improvements and maintenance, public realm works, drainage improvements, canal works and other infrastructure works such as waste management facilities.
