Red 5 Ltd (ASX:RED) continues to ramp-up the capacity of the processing plant at its new 2.4 million-ounce King of the Hills (KOTH) Gold Project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.
In releasing a new flyover video of the process plant, the company said the ramp-up was tracking to plan.
The ramp-up of the 4.7 million tonnes per annum plant follows the first gold pour at King of the Hills earlier this month.

Since then, the KOTH processing team has been focused on increasing the mill production rate and completing outstanding punch list items with the EPC contractor.
This work sees the team well placed to increase the KOTH processing plant to full capacity in the near future.
“New era for Red 5”
At the time of the first pour on June 5, Red 5 managing director Mark Williams said: “We can all be proud of this achievement. It marks the beginning of a new era for Red 5, with the new 4.7 million tonnes per annum King of the Hills processing plant set to become a highly efficient production hub.
“There are promising signs regarding future throughput potential and with two months of feedstocks ready for processing and mining now well established, we have a strong platform to build upon.”
Processing initially focused on low-grade development ore, sourced primarily from stage one of the KOTH open pit and existing stockpiles, while the final commissioning of the processing circuit was completed.
When processing first started in May, Williams said: “The King of the Hills processing plant will become a highly efficient processing hub for our operations in the Leonora district, enabling Red 5 to deliver a significant step-change in our business.”

King of the Hills Gold Mine is 80 kilometres south of the company’s Darlot Gold Mine and 28 kilometres north of the town of Leonora in the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia.
Mining at King of the Hills is undertaken through a combination of bulk underground stoping and airleg mining of selective high-grade gold veins.
