Brookside Energy concludes multi-stage stimulation at Flames

With the multi-stage stimulation under its belt, Brookside says it’s time for clean up operations at the Flames well.

Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) has closed the books on a multi-stage stimulation mission at its high-impact Flames 3-10-1S-3W WXH1 Well — the third development well in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) in Oklahoma’s Anadarko oil and gas basin.

Operations are now proceeding on schedule, safely and without incident after Producer Services Corp (PSC) checked the hydraulic stimulation mission off the list.

Brookside says all stages were completed as designed, while the Flames well reservoir was stimulated in line with its completion plan.

Now, BRK plans to move in and rig up a coil tubing unit, mill out the isolation plugs for each stage and begin circulation and well bore clean-up operations.

This final stage of completion operations should take anywhere between four and 21 days to finalise.

Trifecta of wells

Flames is the third well undergoing completion operations in the SWISH AOI, an exploration and production portfolio in the Anadarko Basin.

The Jewell well — the first to enter production — is churning out around 1,800 barrels of oil per day, while the nearby Rangers asset recently entered production.

Flames was drilled as a full-length horizontal well, targeting the Woodford Formation at an average depth of around 7,800 feet.

The well reached roughly 18,140 feet in measured depth and was cased with production tubing to facilitate oil and rich gas production.
